Healthy Malaysian, Healthy Nations

Had our Health campaign this morning.. its more like reaching out to the community and blessing them. The turn out was good.. lots of people. There's door gifts, some were selling tau fu fa and tau cheong sui (soya bean milk), some were helping out with the doctors and nurses and some were with the children. I was suppose to help out in the registration counter but then I went to the children programme instead, helping them to take pictures, it was indeed fun. The first programme was colouring contest, the kids were given an hour to finish the picture, the older kids uses a bigger picture (in A3 size) wherelse the younger ones uses a smaller piece (A4).. well, given one hour time to the older kids is not enough.. as for the younger ones.. *sigh* within half an hour can done up.. haha.. simply colour.
After the colouring contest, they invited Uncle Button the clown. He's real funny, and good with kids. Will send out some pic later...
got to stop here first.. continue later... ciao

DAY 41 ~ Aug 31, 05

Deuteronomy 28:1-14

Malaysia is blessed. We have rain and sunshine all year round. We have sea coasts and
mountains, peace, and enough food for all. God has blessed Malaysia. If Malaysia follows God’s Word, our blessings will overflow to others around. Let us continue to follow God’s ways so that our hard work will bring good results. Our enemies will run away. Our land will continue to have rich fruit. Our people will increase. God will be our God. We will be the head, not the tail.

Pray point ~
  • That Christians will bring blessings to the country by doing honest business.
  • For our parents to be strong to do what is right at their work place.
  • That Christians will attract others to Jesus by the way they behave.

Saved to live again

DAY 40 ~ Aug 30, 05

Daniel 6:25-28

King Darius could not sleep and as soon as it was morning, he ran to see if Daniel was still alive. God protected him and the lions’ mouths were shut. The King was overjoyed and later, commanded that all the peoples, nations, and men of every language under his rule must worship and honour Daniel’s God. As God’s children, we can show others that the God we worship can bless Malaysia. God worked powerfully in Daniel’s life. He can do the same for us.

Pray point ~
  • That all Malaysians can be free to choose to believe our Father.
  • For Malaysia to be good friends with every nation.
  • That Christians in Malaysia will be like Daniel to win people for Jesus.

Prayer for ~ Child labourers

my weekend...

My Filion baby came to visit me last thursday (aug 25, 05). He took a day off on thurs and he's free on fri. Fetch his grandma to PJ as well cos she wanna visit her daughter which live nearby my house. Went to Nite Market (behind my hse) and we had Nando's for dinner (@ Atria) cos my bf don't want to eat lok-lok which I'm craving for. hehe. Never mind la.. I can still eat it anytime.
Then on Fri, had roast duck at Sunrise, Seapark before we head to Colmar, Bukit Tinggi. Weather was superb, not so hot. We took lots of pictures, finally I'm making used of the tripod which I got it free when I bought my Olympus D-Mini. Haven't been using the tripod since I first bought my digi cam. It's kind of boring to stay at Colmar, nothing much to do although we were there for like 5hrs. Didn't get to see how the nite time looks like cos we left the place bout 6:30pm cos we have to go home for dinner. My dad cook "chu keok chou" (pork leg vinegar.. *i think* hehe..) Dinner was great.. I think my parents abit bias.. they only cooked nice food when my boyfriend is around.. or when there's something on.. other than that.. they won't cook "chu keok chou" if I ask them to. It's one of my favourite dish from my mom.
On Sat, woke up late. Mom's fren bought Curry Mee for her but she didn't eat, so my boyfriend ate it cos he was craving for it and I of course eat "chu keok chou" la.. haha.. *yumyum* after lunch, we went to Filion's aunt's place to visit them and his grandma. Chit chat for awhile. The weather was abit hot and we were craving for something cold, so we changed our mind from Coffee Bean to Slurpee (7-eleven) and to Swenson ice cream @ ss2.
We drop by my church for awhile after having our nice and cooling ice cream ^_^ went there to discuss about our surprise bday party for our Cell Leader..
Later after discussion, me and my bf went to 1U - Window shopping, dinner and watch movie la. We went for ghost movie called The Maid. One of my fren say its pretty scary. Well, indeed it's abit scary. Quite cool that Sporean can come out such movie and some may know that Spore quite famous for all this scary stories and haunted houses. The movie is in hokkien and english. Go watch it yourself and you'll know la.
As for our Sun, woke up late again. We went to Chow Yang Restaurant (behind my hse) for lunch. After buying some eggtart for my mom, we went back home straight. Laze around awhile and then my baby help me to cut green apples. Was cooking pasta salad for the surprise party and my dad marinated the chicken wings.. nice. I didn't mix enough of the mayo, so the pasta is a little bit tasteless.. but then, thank God it left a bit and not half of it. hehe. chicken wings was alot left.. thanks to the bday gal's mom that help me clear half of it. We had Chicken Wings, Sausages, pasta salad and Dominoes pizza for the party. And also the bday cake.. *yumyum* Chocolate banana.. from La Manila. I didn't take the picture though.. Maybe 2 of my friend will post it unto their blog.. will upload it later la...
oh ya.. my boyfriend didn't join me for BBQ.. cos he need to go back on Sunday cos he's working morning shift on Mon. Sad la.. miss him le. Anyway, he drop me off at the bday gal's house and he go home lor. Wish he could stay one more day but then his colleague took the monday morning off, so he have to go back.. if not he would be there at the BBQ and probably help me out with the chicken wings. right baby.. hehe..

Our Teachers

DAY 39 ~ Aug 29, 05

2 Kings 2:2-12

QUIZ : Who was Elijah? What was he famous for? Who was Elisha? What did Elijah leave behind? What did God give to Elisha? Elijah was a great Old Testament hero. Today, our ‘Elijahs’ are our parents, pastors, Sunday School teachers, and church leaders. They pass on to us what they know about our Heavenly Father. We must always respect them, and help them pass on what we have learnt to others.

Pray point ~
  • For a double portion of God’s Spirit for your parents, church leaders and Sunday School teachers.
  • For new leaders who are willing to teach.
  • For good training in God’s Word to pass on to others.

Pray for ~ Children selling themselves

Changed completely

DAY 38: Aug 28, 05

2 Timothy 3:14-17

We can follow our mum and dad to church, but our hearts may not feel anything for God. Outside we may do all the good ‘Christian’ things, but that does not make us God’s children. We become His children when we ask Jesus to come into our hearts to take charge. As we let the Holy Spirit lead us in the right ways, we will be changed to become like Jesus. Others will see the change.

Pray point ~
  • Ask Jesus to come into your heart and take charge.
  • For a right spirit to love God and live for Him.

Pray for ~ Abused children

A promise is a promise

DAY 37 ~ Aug 27, 05

Joshua 24:15

Joshua followed Moses when he was a young man. Then he became the leader. He saw everything God did. God opened the Red Sea for them to cross. He gave them water from the rock. He sent birds for their meat in the desert. He defeated all their enemies. He kept His promise to bring them into their own land. As an old man, Joshua did not forget his promise. He told the people that he and his family would serve God only. Let us also make this same promise for all time – “As for me and my house, we will serve the Lord.”

Pray point ~
  • Apologise to God for the times we did not follow Him.
  • Decide to please God and do right rather than follow others.
  • That you and your family will shine for Jesus.

Pray for ~ Child prisoners

We have blessings

Day 36 ~ Aug 26, 05

Romans 8:12-17

Jesus, the King of kings, the Lord of Lords says that those who follow Him are His brothers. You are His brother or sister if you believe in Him. That means you have a share in everything He has! All that belongs to God belongs to Him. We are children in God’s kingdom. Therefore, we need to behave like princes and princesses. God’s Holy Spirit will help us.

Pray point ~
  • Say sorry to our Father for not behaving like His children.
  • That we know how to use His blessings to bring good to others.

Pray for ~ Children involved in crime

>>> GaRFiE|d >>>

Just wanna share this Garfield comic... somehow its kind of relating to our spiritual walk with God... "Why must we dwell on the past?!"
A message that I got out from a preacher.. Pr Kong Hee.., he said that, "A man without Vision will go back to the past". I do agree with what he said. Vision is very important in individual lives.. without it, where would we be.. right!

God is Ruler of all

DAY 35 ~ Aug 25, 05

Psalm 22:27-28

Who is King of the Ocean? The Skies? The Universe? Jesus is the King of kings. Who is Boss of Malaysia? America? Indonesia? China? Powerful people rule the nations. Some are good, some are evil, but God rules over all. He has all the power and He sometimes allows evil rulers to rule, but He still gives them a chance to change. One day He will take back every nation and rule over all. The Lord reigns!

Pray point ~

  • For nations that have evil rulers who do not allow their people to believe in God.
  • That the good news of our Father’s love will reach every nation.
  • For rulers and leaders who can be used for God’s plan.

Pray for ~ Thailand

Share what you have

DAY 34 ~ Aug 24, 05

Luke 10:25-37

Who do you like to be in this story? The priest, the Levite or the Samaritan? Jesus chose the Samaritan. Why? The Samaritan showed he had a generous heart. He helped someone in need. Not only that, he paid a man to look after the victim. In Malaysia, people give when there are needs, like when they gave generously to help the Tsunami victims. When we Christians share what we have, we show that we have a Heavenly Father who ‘loves to give’.

Pray point ~
  • We will be cheerful givers. We can give time, money or love.
  • That we Christians will act quickly when there are needs in our society.

Pray for ~ Children using glue and drugs

God accepts our ‘Sorry’

DAY 33 ~ Aug 23, 05

Jonah 3:1-10

Praise God for keeping Malaysia safe. The tsunami, dengue, floods, etc passed us like a scratch. God listens to our prayers. God wants the whole of Malaysia to turn to him. And God says that if His people pray and turn from their wicked ways, He will hear from Heaven. We need to share this message with others.

God says He loves YOU. His love never changes and is so generous. It reaches to the poor people, the weak and even the wicked. He wants us to love other people like that. When we love other people, we tell them by our love that God loves them. And when we love others, we also tell God that we love Him.

He loves to give to us

DAY 30 ~ Aug 20, 05

Deuteronomy 30:1-6

Our Father loves to bless us. But we will not enjoy His blessings if we do not understand and follow His rule – to obey Him with all our heart, mind and soul as He commands us. No matter who we are, our hope is in the Lord. God said, “Tell those who are rich in this world not to be proud and not to trust in their money, which will soon be gone. But to trust in the living God, who richly gives us all we need for our enjoyment”

(1 Timothy 6:17, New Living Translation).

Pray point ~

Making our Heavenly Father Happy

Day 29 ~ Aug 19, 05

Luke 15:8-10

Do you remember when you took your first step, or when you had your first tooth, or when you first called “mama” or “papa”? Surely your parents remember. And they were thrilled to bits.In the same way, your Heavenly Father was thrilled when you first talked to Him. He remembers because He really loves you. Just as He looks after the wild birds and flowers, He will look after you. In fact, you are more important than the birds and the flowers. So important that He is now preparing a house for you up there. Continue to love Him and talk to Him every day.

Pray point ~
  • That everyday we will thank our Heavenly Father because He is by our side and we want to please Him.
  • That we will talk to Him all the time and remember to call on Him when we need help.

Scary Dream...

I had a nigthmare last nite... didn't dream of monster chasing after me or whatsoever. It's just a normal dream and yet scary. haha.
I was walking home one day, and I'm suppose to go straight which lead to my house. But I have no idea why I'm turning to a back lane where it leads to shoplots. There I came across a huge dog which is 50m away from me and I was walking calmly at the side, afraid that the dog would jump on me or attack me. And you know what, the dogs face look scary, don't know what breed is that, looks like mix breed of Doberman (in a bigger size) and Rottweiler and luckily the dog is brown, if its black.. its even more scary. The dog saw me, and he started to walk towards me. I got abit freaky and climb up on a slightly higher ground beside the corner house. Guess what, the dog did the same thing and he's walking closer.
Out of a sudden, I saw this higher block which I have to jump up and I did out of my reflexes. hehe. When I'm up at the block, I look back, the dog was still there but after awhile he went off. So I thought to myself "The place is clear, safe to go down now". Before I even jump down, some how the block is much much higher than I expected and the gap between the higher ground that I was walking is further. Its impossible to jump across and I suddenly felt the fear of heights and was calling for help but no one was there, not even the neighbouring houses. Was kinda freaky at the moment and my mind went blank don't know what to do.
Wanna try jumping over but the block gets higher whenever I feel like jumping. I can't wait any longer, so I made my decision to jump down instead and I did. The feeling was like I'm falling down from a tall building or a condominium and thinking that I won't survive this fall.
But thank God... in the midst of falling... haha... I woke up and everything is just a dream. What a dream right.. oh.. when I woke up this morning.. I had backache. haha. Too stress..

Defender of the Weak

Day 26 ~ Aug 16, 05

Psalm 82

This Psalm talks about those who are poor, needy, weak and oppressed. Some people take advantage of them but God cares about for each one.
In Matthew 25:31-46 is the story of the sheep and the goats. We realise that it is up to each person to do what they can to help those who are in need.

Pray point:
  • That God will help and protect those working to help the poor and those who are unfairly treated.

Revival Conference

Attended a Revival Conference held by City Harvest Church KL. The whole team of CHC Spore came to support the CHC KL - Pr Kevin Loo. Its a 3 night Revival Conference at Sunway Convention Center... Monday - Wenesday @ 8pm. We went on the Wednesday night, 16 of us went.
CHC Spore worship team was awesome... they sang their songs. The presence of God was awesome... the place was filled with people. Pr Kong Hee preach a short & sweet sermon (lots of youngsters like his sermon cos its straight to the point and short) He talked about Worship and there's 4 points that he shared...
here are the 4 points... hope that U'll be bless too...

Luke 10:38-42

What is worship??
Worship is.....

1. WAITING upon God (Isaiah 40:30)
- click in the realm of God (set our mind off everything in this world, don't worry)

2. UNDISTRACTED FOCUS on God
- don't just worship worship, worship God
- tap into God's presence

3. EXTRAVAGANT ADORATION of God (Luke 7:38)
- worship in greek PROSKUNEO
- to prostrate and to lean forward to kiss
- "kuneo" means to kiss God's feet

4. UNCONDITIONAL SACRIFICE to God
- like Solomon (give extravagantly)

i hope that we can learn something from God today... never give up in worshiping... CHOOSE worship.. that's where we meet GOD face to face. and desire to worship God.

Our Loving Father

Day 22 ~ Aug 12, 05

Psalm 103:8-14

In the story of the Prodigal Son (Luke 15:11-32) we see how the father welcomed his son back with compassion - "he ran to his son, threw his arms around him and kissed him". Even if we have done something we know we should not have done, we can come back to God, our wonderful Heavenly Father. He is like the father in the story. We can just run back to His arms and say sorry.

Pray point:
  • Say sorry for any behaviour God does not like. Repent. Come back to Him. Tell Him we love Him.
