Godly Wisdom

Day 10 ~ July 31, 05

Proverbs 1:1-9

Today's verses challenge a young person to seek wisdom and gain understanding and how godly wisdom can give common sense to the simple. He/she can receive knowledge and discretion, increase learning and get wise counsel. The list goes on and they are all different terms for describing true wisdom and righteousness, which consist in knowing and doing the will of God. Will this be your life time goal - to seek godly wisdom?

Pray point:
  • That you will grow in wisdom and stature and in favour with God and man.
  • For our youth desire to seek godly wisdom and be great influencers in society.

Unconditional Love

Day 9 ~ July 30

1 John 4:9-13

We have not loved God. In fact the Bible said we were separated from Him and in this condition He showed the greatness of His love for us by giving His Son to die for us. What a demonstration of unconditional love! Can we ask God to help us to show this unconditional love to our family members?

Pray point:
  • For our parents to be faithful to God and one another.
  • for children to grow in homes where there is love, joy and thankfulness.

I've nicely wrap up the present, and hand made a card for him too... can't wait to see his reaction. ^_^
oh... I heard a not so good news yesterday from my colleagues. Abit saddened by it but then... won't treat is as just rumours but we need to pray about it. Wouldn't want to be the person that spread the news... really hope that its not true. For those who knows chinese... I think its better for u guys to read the chinese newspaper. Its too much la.
Anyway, we Christians really need to pray about this and not just let it off the shelves and pretend nothing has happen ya! Ok la.. guess will stop here. Need to complete some stuff before heading off to Penang.

What A Priviledge!

Day 8 ~ July 29

  • With thanksgiving and gratitude for the priviledge of sharing God's love.

Day 7 ~ July 28

Isaiah 45:22-23, Romans 10:14-15

There are 6.35 billion (6,350 million) people living on planet earth. We need to learn their language so that we can tell them about Jesus. Our Heavenly Father wants everyone to hear about His Love.

Pray point:

  • For mission agencies that do the work of translating the Bible to other languages. Pray that God will send people to join these agencies as missionaries.
  • For missionaries who work in countries far away from their homes that they till enjoy their work.

Father's Concerns

Day 6 ~ Aug 27, 05

Matthew 6:33

The Bible says that we are to "live for Him and make the Kingdom of God His primary concern" (Matthew 6:33). That means that God is more important than anything. When you are tempted to spend more time on other things than God and His concerns, remember to come back and draw near to Him.

Pray point:
  • Ask God to help you to make Him number one in your life.
  • Ask God to help you divide your time such that you have time to read the Bible, study, play and rest.

Surprises!

Does every women in this world love surprises?
I'm sure 99% of us ladies love surprises... be it from friends or someone special or even from family members. (the other 1%... are not sure I guess) hehe..
Anyway, I personally love surprises... Sometimes, when I watch movies (chinese movies or english romance) those actors always surprise their girlfriend or someone that they are interested in with flowers (send to the gals office), send gifts nicely wrap up, and etc... And that makes me think... how nice if my boyfriend does that. Well, I'm not here to complain or whatsoever... blame the movies... hehe... but then, aren't the guys suppose to know about all this...! Sometimes its quite hard to tell your bf what to do and it won't be a surprise anymore. *Sigh* Watch too much romantic movies...
I've always wanted to surprise my bf... show myself up to him but then... quite hard also cos of his work (different shifts and work can be last minute).
Recently I watch a chinese movie staring Ekin Cheng and some new actress. Its a romance movie. Won't tell you the whole story but then... during the gal's bday, Ekin gave her a bday surprise gift... he bought her a puppy which she always wanted it. See... how nice. I know... this are all just movie but guys can learn some skills from movies right!!!

hehe.

Day 5 ~ July 26, 05

Proverbs 8:15-16

We Malaysians enjoy many good things. God has indeed blessed our country, but for our country to continue well, our government need God's wisdom for it to rule. So, as we enjoy His blessings, let us pray that He will give our government the wisdom to rule the country properly.

Pray point:
  • That our government will be a caring government that looks after the poor
  • Especially for those government leaders who are Christians that they will do their work well.

One Family

Day 4 ~ July 25, 05

1 John 3:1-2

"See how much the Father has loved us! His love is so great that we are called God's children - and so, in fact, we are." (1 John 3:1)

There are many Christians in Malaysia, attending many various churches. God wishes that all His children live and work together as one big family, with Jesus as the head.
Psalm 133:1 says, "How wonderful it is, how pleasant, for God's people to live together in harmony!"

Pray point:
  • Give thanks for all the many types of churches in Malaysia
  • That our churches will be "good friends" with each other and plan activities they can do together.

Pray for ~ Sri Lanka

Dun feel right...

I'm feeling a little dizzy today... not sure why. Woke up late this morning, overslept. Been having this habit of waking up late almost every morning. Physical body is weak... haha.. or another word.. lazy! I don't think my dizziness is due to not enough sleep or sleep too much... I wore my glasses to work today. It could be my glasses that causes dizziness cos my left eye's power increase and I didn't fix it... been wearing contact lens almost every day at work, took it off only when I'm back home. Guess I have to go fix my glasses as soon as possible... ^_^

I LOVE U 'cos

40 Days Fast & Prayer

We just started our 40 Days Fast & Prayer on Friday, July 22nd and end till Aug 30th. We must either fast on a one meal fast or total fast for all 3 meals or the Daniel fast (veggies only) and you can also fast on certain strongholds that you can't live without e.g coffee, TV's, and etc... Well, I'm fasting on one meal and also Daniel fast... as for my stronghold... I haven't thought of it yet, still in the midst ah.
We've been given a booklet, its a daily guideline for us to pray for different needs and countries. Or you can consider it as your personal devotion to the Lord. Quite a good book. Window Shopping

I'm suppose to publish this before I write about Amityville, I guess I'm too excited about the movie. haha. I went to 1U much earlier (on Sat, 16 July), I think its almost 7+pm. One of my frens was kind enough to drop me there... how sweet huh!
I went walking alone at 1U, quite nice to walk alone cos no pressure and you can go wherever you want.
Saw a sales advert on the newspaper on friday nite, Ausino having discount on bedsheets and quilt cover sets and its dirt cheap. So, since I'm there, might as well go take a look. I was expecting to have crowds in the shop but to my surprise.. only a married women with kids was inside looking at the bedsheets. Guess what.. it's only the kids bedsheets and quilt covers. Was abit disappointed in a way but anyway, I went around walking and I bought myself a bracelet (which I like it myself), then I walk to Jaya Jusco.. saw a goggles on sales and its 50%. I was looking and choosing it then came a sales lady and I ask her "Are all these less 50%?" and she answered me "If only you buy rm80 and above.." *sigh* another disappointment la. Then again I continue my journey walking around that level... I actually saw a goggles which is much cheaper rm19.90 but I didn't get it cos suddenly I don't feel like buying it. So I walk again, going down to the children department... looking and staring at the Initial D's remote control cars. Was thinking to myself while holding the car.. "Should have waited for this car... so much better than the one I have and its only rm39.90. rm10 extra frm what I bought previously.." *sigh* again.. another disappointment la. Anyway, I walked around the toy area and there at the corner... I saw the Disney Collection figurine. For your info, I collect Dalmation figurine.. one set of the pups figure (there's 5 inside) cost rm14.90 and know what.. they are selling for rm9.90. I was really happy, so I grab hold of the female dalmation with 2 pups inside and there hoping to find the male dalmation with 2 pups. Search almost the entire collection, no sign of the male dalmation except for this box which contains 2 sets (dwafts and the male dalmation) and it cost rm26.90. I was so tempted to open the box and change it with another one cos the promoter say the stock are all out. Again another disappointment la.. but then I walked back to the shelf and hoping that maybe I didn't look properly and search again.. well.. what did you know.. there's actually 2 sets of the male dalmation nicely place on top of the shelf which I guess I didn't look preperly.. So happy that I quickly grab it. The man which was standing there looking at me thought that I found gold or something. haha. At least there's something happy that I can celebrate with.. hehe.. After that, went walking again and stop at Watson cos I thought the movie is at TGV but then one of my fren called and say that the movie is at GSC.. *miscommunication la* So rush to the other end of the building la and found out that the movie start at 9:35pm. So, met one of my fren and we sat down for a drink while waiting for the rest of them.

Amityville Horror

Went for a movie last nite with a few of my old school mates. Quite a rare time that I would want to go out with my school frens... ermm... the reason is not because they are watching AmityVille Horror.. its just that catching up with them and all. Been quite apart from them since after school years which is 8yrs ago. Actually, most of them are from the same class, I'm the odd one, knew 2 of them only cos we were in the same class before in form 2-3.
About that movie, quite good, you still get frightened cos of the sound effect in GSC (awesome!). One of the gals got frightened not because of the movie.. haha.. its because of the person sat next her (stranger, gal) she sort of like got shock and somehow affected her too. haha. funny right.
I always love watching horror movies.. cos I never had nightmares after watching unless those really scary and creepy. Sometimes, after watching.. I'll feel abit eerie when alone but after that.. *nah* nothing's gonna happen. ^_^
Oh ya.. wanna find out the true story behind Amityville, and to know more about DeFeos family. Cllick on the web below

or do u think its a hoax.. here's another link.. true or not.. its up to you to decide...

XtraORDINARY! Are we?

This coming Saturday (July 16, 05) is the launching of our Youth Service @ New Life, Jln 227 @ 3pm. Its quite exciting to get back to our not so serious kind of service and have the craziness and sporting-ness of our Youth. Having ice-breaker and all. Really hope that God will lead us to a place where we can really see the XtraORDINARY in us... to fulfill God's plan & purpose, to excel, to experience, to expel from our comfort zone... (plegmatic ppl... better kick our butt out frm our comfort zones... haha..)
This is the design thats on our tshirts... COOL huh!

and our Cell Grp logo... xXx...

special thanks to OUR Beloved Youth Leader... PI. Hock.

ps: part of my idea too for the tshirt design.. hehe.. *cheh* :-P

When We Say "I Love You"

When we say I love you
we say 1-4-3 instead.

To find out why I guess you'll have to
Get inside our heads.

Our secret is a sign of more
That lies beneath our souls
In tunnels dug through common ground
By happy, fun-filled moles.

I think, he feels, he thinks, I feel,
We talk beneath our words,
Singing silently our joy
Like mikeless, earphoned birds.

Of course our little secrets are
Quite easy to uncover,
Yet deeper still are wordless things
That hold our lives together.

Be Gentle

Be gentle: What you're holding is my heart.
Remember in your honesty my pride.
If you don't want to see me, please don't hide
The truth, yet tell it with some art.
Though you may not have asked for me to call,
A single leap of hope must be allowed.
Not easily are shy songs sung out loud.
Yet now I wait alone outside your wall.

HTML...so troublesome

Been doing my blog for the pass half day... been wanting to know how to add songs on my blog. So I tried to see who's online and who have their own blogger... so i can ask them how to do. Didn't know that we have to go thru so many things just to include a song or at least an easier way for me to just attach it like how I attach the photos. Isn't it easier for everybody rather to go thru uploading it to another web and link it back to your own blog?!
There are so many nice songs around the world that I guess everyone is longing to share it out. Why can't blogger just create something for the sake of easy sharing? What do you think?? Go all out for the BEST!!!

Whoa!I've made my own lunch!

Attended one of my friends BBQ party on Tues (its Abigails birthday). Its like an all girls nite out... Awesome huh! Who say the gals can't start fire...? Don't ever underestimate the gals.. hehe.. It was a pot-luck cum BBQ. The food was a bit too much la.. but then it left abit only when I and Jeannie left the hse. One of Abigail's fren made a delicious Spiral spaghetti (dunno wat it called) mixes with tuna (chilli tuna) & corns. It taste good although she keep saying she bought the wrong tuna. hehe.. So she inspires me to made my own. I was telling Jeannie during our journey home that "Hey! We can made our own next time. Change the corn to green apple chunks then we can eat for lunch on the next day." True enough.. I went to Savemart (lastnite) in SS2 to get the Spiral spaghetti, tuna, mayo and some other stuff like cereals and a fruit juice. Went back home, catch my 8:30pm tv series in Wah Lai Toi and start cooking after that show. The funny thing happen is, I bought the wrong tuna. Suppose to get the chunks but end up buying the tuna spread. Thank God my brother have a can of tuna chunks in the cupboard, so I happily mix it with my tuna spread and adding mayo in it... while I wait for the spiral spag. to cook. When its done, its time to mix them all up... and I add more mayo (its a low fat mayo) and my mom help me to chop the green apple and kept them in the fridge (soak with salt water).
After its done, I scoop up some and let my dad taste it... he said its nice. ^_^ And this morning, woke up, mix my green apples together with the spiral tuna and wala! *yummy* I had it for breakfast and lunch.. hehe..

Desperate Housewives

Desperate Housewives is a cool and hit tv series in the States and around the world... (those who have tv & connection) I've heard it on the tv and some magazine about this show but it never catch my attention cos never like to watch tv series like that.. the only tv series that I'm crazy about is Charmed but sad to say... last 3 weeks ago was their last episode. *sobsob*
Why suddenly I'm so crazy about it till I'm here to even write about the show? Well, I first started watching when I was browsing thru Oprah Winfrey on monday afternoon (offday, july 4) and there it is... a huge sign saying "Oprah on Desperate Housewives!!" I like watching Oprah as well... somehow she have this influence to thousands of woman around the world and making their dreams come true. So, it got me curious and wanting to know what she have to say about Desperate Housewives. And you know what... she was actually staring in one of the episode in it and she show it to her audience which was never been shown at all. *how lucky huh!* That's how I got interested in it and wanna follow thru...
oh oh... not only that... haha.. after Oprah showed her part on Desperate Housewives.. she invited 3 hot hunks from Wisteria Lane (Desperate Housewives) and they are....

Jesse Metcalfe (cute guy, on left), James Denton, and Ricardo Antonio Chavira (*ahem* he's not that errmmm... hot la). So, Oprah was introducing them and interviewing them as usual la. Jesse is just so good looking... that's another reason why I watch Desperate Housewives.. haha.. not that I'm desperate to become one of the housewives. hehe.
Look at the picture below for the 3 hot hunks... Enjoy the picture and your Desperate Housewives tv series!! Shouldn't miss it out!!!
Watch it on Astro - StarWorld @ 9pm, Every Tues.

Funny Blog Name

Some of you must be wondering why "flynngie" as a blog name... Well, to cut my long story short... hehe.. its actually a forming word of a nickname. "flynn" is my boyfriends nickname, he uses it on a mobile chat last 4 yrs ago (2002) that's how I know him thru hotlink mobile chat. As for "gie" is my nickname lor and combined them together "flynngie". Creative leh!!! hehe.. I used flynngie as one of my pets in Neopets too. What is Neopets? Its an online game where you can take care of the weird and cute animals in Neopet land. Ermm... like tamagochi (if some of you still remember how tamagochi is like but then this neopets, u can't see them move la.) I guess my Neopet is dying la. ^_^
So, that's how "flynngie" was birth out.. haha..

Dogs

My favourite pet is Dogs. I grew up loving them. My dad took care quite a number of different dogs ever since I'm a child (i think around 3-4 yrs old). My family somehow have this bond with dogs... I remember having a dog which my uncle gave us (can't remember the breed, quite tall and fury) the funny thing is... the dog was like same height as me when I was young (when the dog sit, so u can imagine how tall la). I can't remember what happen to the dog, I think my dad gave it away cos' the female dog was pregnant. I never seem to remember things in detail especially my early years, like memory lost somewhere in space. haha.
As I grow up, different dogs came into my life... dogs came into my house, dogs that lost their family, dogs that gone astray or kick out by their owner (fyi, those dogs are nice & obedient, not those pariah dogs). I remember there's one time a dog came to my hse (she lost her owner), and we kept her for a few days until we find her owner. My dad would bring her out, walk her around the neighborhood and ask around whether there's anyone looking for a dog. Well, after 2-3 days, we finally found the dogs owner, she was so happy... (both owner & pet) it makes you feel happy too. There's a few more incident like that happen, just last year... we found a Cocker Spaniel nearby my hse. I somehow lure the dog into my hse cos I'm afraid cars would bang her. I have bad experience about dogs being bang by cars cos one of my favourite dog (Kiko) was being knock down by a careless driver back in 3yrs ago, he died on the spot. I was really sad although I'm not around to witness it. But then, last year, my female dog (Yuki) had the same accident. Well, that was my dog and partly my fault too cos she ran out and I yelled at her. She was actually running back to me and this car didn't notice her and bang her. I was deeply crushed that time, can't seem to cry out (holding my tears) my dad wasn't around, so I quickly called my brother to fetch Yuki to the Pet Clinic. Well, thank God, she's ok, no fractured bones and she's well in my hse now. oh ya, back to the Cocker Spaniel, we can't seem to find the owner cos no one seem to be looking for her, so I gave her away to one of my church members fren cos my mom been nagging both me and my dad alot ever since the dog at home.
Oh ya, I have another dog (his name is Brownie, before I got Kiko & Yuki). This dog of mine, he's very naughty but then he's the joy in my family. There's one time, he had this thing called heart enlargement, we sent him to the clinic and the doc say he need to be put to sleep cos it can't be cured but again there's a choice la.. either to put him to sleep or take him home and take care of him. All of us cried cos we don't want him to be put to sleep and its not fair la, so we all agreed to take him home. Me and my dad took care of him, bought the can food and the tools to feed him. He couldn't really walk cos he's weak, so I have to bring him out to the garden and let him do his business and then bring him back inside the hse. We continue this thing for a few weeks and one day, out of my surprise... he started to walk, we were so happy that he recovered and the joy that he brings into my hse... but again... he's back to his naughty behavior la. hehe.. there's also another sad incident, we usually let him run out of the hse cos he knows how to come back whenever he's done with his business. But there's one day, he ran out and never comes back. I cried and went looking for him for 2 days but can't seem to find him. So, we thought he might have lost his way or someone took him away and things like that. After 3 days, while I was sitting at my living room and my back door is open cos my dad was cooking at that time. Suddenly a dog came running in from the back... I was so shocked and thrilled to see him and can't wait to hold him but then, he's so dirty and smelly, I took him for a bath. Some say that he might have gone to "kau lui" cos dog got instinct of female having period, so he went to court female dogs. haha.. but then was glad to see him la. Brownie died in old age in my hse. Its indeed sad to see him passed away. Well, happy moments comes and go.. I do have lots of happy moments with Brownie. He live the longest in my family among my other dogs, I think around 13-14yrs. He's the only dog that I will never forget.

First Time

Its my first time having a blog of my own... I do have one on my msn, update only when there's something nice to write about or things that pissed me off. ^_^
Oh well, its rather interesting going thru some of my frens blog and some other strangers blog. Knowing what they think and what they go thru the day of their life. Maybe I'll try writing more of my experiences or rather things that I wanna keep a memory of... *been having dory symptom (short term memory lost) or maybe bcos old age.. haha*
Ok. Guess I'm done with my intro. haha. That's all for now. ciao.
