My Langkawi Experience

Went to Penang on July 29 till Aug 1. Its not a holiday weekend but I'm off on that monday, so went up to Penang and went to Langkawi the following day.
I haven't been taking speed boat for a long long time and my experience on the boat was fantastic.. haha.. started to have butterfly in my stomach when I reach the jeti but then can still joke around with my bf, even until when we choose our seats. We did a mistake which is sitting at the wrong place... We sat in front of the speed boat where you'll feel the motion and the boat hitting of the sea. Was pretty fine at first, thanks to some arabian kids sitting in front of us which started crying and puking, having sea sick. I was trying very hard to hold on and not puke but the smell of the vomit is overwhelming, so I quickly grab a plastic bag in my bag and started vomitting. Feeling better after that but then... I still puke on and off and I quickly take a nap. That's the story of me going to Langkawi. haha.
When we reach Langkawi, some guy approach us to rent a car and so we did, we rented a Waja. Went straight to the other side of the island and search for a place to stay. Funny thing is... we can't seem to find the hotel that my bf saw on the internet. So we went to Underwater World and have our lunch... was hungry at that time cos I puke almost everything in my stomach. hehe. but at the same time not much appetite. While we were waiting for our lunch, my bf ask the lady where the hell Sherwood is cos we've been rounding a few times searching for it but couldn't find it. We nearly end up in a 5 star hotel but luckily didn't la... siau meh. So the lady happily tell us where the hotel is and we went back to the place after our lunch. We found the place but then... they change their hotel name to Langkawi Boutique Resort. What a name...?? My bf went in and ask... and finally got ourselves a room. The room was quite ok, not too bad.. rm99 per night.

After checking in... we went to Underwater World which is like down the road but we drove there la... quite a nice place to visit. We didn't get to go island hopping and eagle feeding and the cable car which is the main tourist attraction cos we don't have enough time to do so many things. We stay there for a night only. The Underwater World was nice, get to see lots of sea fish and fresh water fish and some other animals. *will post the photos tmrw* After our touring around the aquarium, we went to the duty free mall next to it and bought lots of chocolates and later hunt for a pair of sliper and there head back to the hotel. Change to shorts and take a walk at the beach... the beach quite dirty, I'm not sure why cos we saw lots of seaweeds, empty lighter, bottles (pill bottles, beer bottles & etc) and some other junks there. Quite bad ah. We headed back to the hotel and took a nap... woke up, go dinner down the road. Quite ok la but expensive. Head to Kuah town (bout 20-30mins drive) nothing much to do there at night, suppose to go to a mall called Billion (the biggest shopping mall in Langkawi, they haven't seen the biggest shopping mall yet in PJ n KL.. haha..) We headed back to hotel after walking around Kuah town.
The next morning, we check out... something bad happened. My middle finger got "kiap" on the car window, thanks to my bf.
How did it happen? Well, my towel was wet and I don't want to put in my bag cos it'll be stinky. So I thought of hanging my towel on the car window, there's 2 reason for me to do that, firstly the hot sun will dry my towel and secondly it can be my shade. I wind down the window and trying to put my towel over and on the same time trying to wind it back up but I couldn't, so I ask my bf to help me cos he can opperate from his side. Before I even say wind up, he wind it up and the window got my finger. Was damn painful until I can't take it so I cried and it was bleeding. Luckily it didn't snap on my nails, its just by the side but then.. its worst enough ah (my bf knew I'll be writing this down, he already predicted). I was quite disappointed at the same time bcos of my bf... don't want to tell la. After that, my mood all gone... I kept quiet until he said sorry. We went round the island that morning, went to the 7 wells but didn't walk up cos quite far up and to the cable car (didn't sit la). Visited the old PM's galery, was super huge, 2 huge bangalow full of his stuff (gifts frm different countries, cars presented to him, carriages, bicycle, cutleries, crystal chess and etc). The one and only item that I admire the most is the Eagle... too bad they don't allow to take pictures... if not I can post it up here.
After that, we continue our journey and stop at a beach called Black sand beach (really black sand). Nothing much la after that... we head back to the town and nearly bang into an indian fella who didn't see the car when he cross. Luckily my bf drive slow if not... I think that indian guy would have flew in front. haha. how terrible. We manage to go to the largest shopping mall, nothing much there... all of it are duty free stuff but then still abit costly.
And lastly, we went to the tourist area called the Lang Langkawi. Where they build the biggest eagle facing the sea. Nice and huge.
You need to be there to experience the view of the largest bird... its just so cool. Amazing!!!
Guess that's all... will post some pictures up later... probably after my trip to Singapore. Going there this weekend to watch a Christian concert... can't wait to go.
